Dr. Beck is a board-certified optometriic physician now serving the residents of Sarasota at the Bee Ridge Vision Center. She grew up in Northern New Jersey and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Binghamton in Binghamton, New York and her Doctor of Optometry degree from New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA.

During her optometric studies, she was able to combine her love of travel with her desire to serve diverse patients and completed several rotations from Portland, Oregon to Jerusalem, Israel.

Dr. Beck has recently relocated from Washington, DC where she and her husband, Ken Beck, also an optometrist, practiced general optometry for 12 years. In addition to her practices in the DC metro area, Dr. Beck also founded Hope in Sight, a charity that provided eye exams and glasses for indigent families.

Dr. Susan Beck is a member of the Manasota Optometric Society as well as the Florida and American Optometric Associations.
