Rick Billings, O.D., a board certified optometric physician, has been practicing in Sarasota since 1984. Dr. Billings graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI with a Bachelor of Science degree, and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Ferris State University College of Optometry.

Dr. Billings has specialized experience in low vision, contact lens fitting, pediatric and general eye examinations, management of glaucoma, and post operative care for cataract and refractive surgery cases. Since 1989, he has served as Optometric Consultant for several nursing homes in Sarasota County, including Quality Healthcare of North Port, J.H. Floyd Sunshine Manor, Sarasota Health Care and The Springs at Lake Point Woods.

Dr. Billings lives in Nokomis with his wife, Denise, who is also an optometric physician, and their two children.
