Dr. Thomas E. Blom received both his B.S. in Visual Science and his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Ill. Prior to starting his private practice in 1998, he served as an ophthalmology associate for eye-care practices in the Sarasota and Bradenton area. Most recently, he was director of professional relations for Salvatori Ophthalmics Inc. and Danker Laboratories in Sarasota.

Dr. Blom is a member of the American Optometric Association and Florida Optometric Association and a trustee of the Manasota Optometric Society. He was awarded the 1998 Medical Achievement Award from the Florida Administrators and Educators in Vision Rehabilitation.
