David M. Rubin, O.D., is a Board Certified Optometrist who sees patients at the Sarasota Cataract & Laser Institute one day a week. He spends the rest of the week at his 20-year practice in Venice, Fla. Dr. Rubin is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association and the Manasota Optometric Society, where he served as President from 2000 - 2004. He has lectured on various eye-related topics before local professional organizations and most recently was named contributing editor to OptometricPearls.com. Dr. Rubin has served as an examiner for the Florida State Board of Optometry and the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
